As some of you may know, The Calgary Beet, was launched a few years ago as an outlet for me to do something I am passionate about while making ends meet with my day job. Today, I officially announce a career change with the launch of my new business, Intelligently Nourished (www.intelligentlynourished.ca). In keeping with my passions, I am offering one-on-one wellness coaching, plant-based cooking classes and an Eat to Thrive e-course. The details for all of these offerings will roll out in the next couple of weeks. I am super excited and so looking forward to helping my clients in the area of health and wellness with this new venture!
Why am I taking a leap?
For as long as I can remember I have been passionate about food, from the way it tastes, to the integrity of ingredients and ultimately its contribution or the destruction of our health. I left the culinary industry years ago but it never really left me. I have evolved, however, into much healthier eating patterns gained from furthering my education in Plant-based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Centre for Nutritional Studies at Cornell University and taking the Instructors’ Food Over Medicine Certificate from the Wellness Forum Institute in Columbus, Ohio.
The Calgary Beet will remain live until at least the end of the year and I will gradually be moving the recipes here over to my new website so they won’t be lost. I’ll also be adding more recipes as I get into a routine and these will always be free.
So, now you know why I haven’t been posting much over the last few months. Getting this new venture up and started has been all-consuming but honestly, it’s a labour of love.
Please consider this announcement an invitation to share my website with friends and family and follow me on my new social media sites. I hope some of you will be curious enough to take a peak at the new site!
